At 4:00 p.m. on November 11, teaching seminar of Teaching Development Center in MBA School of Zhejiang Gongshang University was successfully convened in No. 1208 Meeting Room of No. 1 Teaching Building. This teaching seminar of MBA Marketing Management was co-hosted by Zhejiang Gongshang University, Zhejiang University and relevant marketing departments and sections of Fudan University and several marketing experts of three schools attended this meeting. This meeting was mainly aimed at solving problems in two aspects, firstly, development problem of MBA marketing course; secondly, design of MBA marketing management course.
At the meeting, Professor Nie Biao, President of MBA School of Zhejiang Gongshang University made a welcoming speech first of all and then carried out the discussion about theme in the first stage, which included development and discussion of optional courses and new courses of MBA, exchanged ideas about MBA communication and courses of consuming behaviors. Teachers from three schools respectively expressed their opinions. He Yanqun, Associate Professor of Fudan University explained the optional course of “social marketing and social enterprises” as an example and he though that optional courses would not only supported by theory but also by cases; Wang Lili, Doctor of Zhejiang University, thought that optional course is in ing form and the contents she explained can adapt to changing tense and optional course “stays at theoretical level all over the world”; Lou Tianyang, Associate Professor of Zhejiang Gongshang University though that the optional course shall possess motivation (cutting-edge knowledge, logic and teaching methods (case-based teaching and introduction of enterprise cases for discussion). Moreover, Teacher Zhang Yanling and Professor Jin Liyin of Fudan University, Doctor Liu Tao and Professor Sun Yixia of Zhejiang University and Wang Tong’an and Song Jinzhu, Associate Professors of Zhejiang Gongshang University respectively expressed their opinions at the meeting.
Theme of the meeting in the second stage was the design of MBA marketing management course. Professor Jiang Qingyun explained teaching idea and practice of MBA marketing course in Fudan University and it mainly includes five parts such as course framework, marketing management (core course), design of course contents, course teaching and training as well as direction course design; Doctor Qu Liang introduced teaching ideas and practice of MBA marketing course of Zhejiang Gongshang University and explained three features, three trials and development direction and pattern.
At this meeting, many suggestions and experience about development and design of MBA marketing management course have been introduced, which was of great guidance significance for implementation of teaching in the future. Teachers presented at the meeting showed that, similar teaching seminar shall be held more frequently because experience communication and idea collision between colleges and universities will promote development of MBA teaching.
