University Presidents Training Session for “China MBA Teachers Development and School-running Capabilities Construction Plan” held in our university

On May 8, University Presidents Training Session for “China MBA Teachers Development and School-running Capabilities Construction Plan (Temasek Project)” was held at Zhejiang Gongshang University. The training session was hosted by China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee and undertaken by Zhejiang Gongshang University MBA School and faculty of management of Jiangsu University, and funded by Temasek Fund. It aimed at enhancing the leadership of Business School Dean. The representatives from Temasek Fundation and China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee and 37 university presidents from Business School of Zhengzhou University, School of Economics and Management of Inner Mongolia University and 14 MBA Schools in China have attended the session. President Zhang Renshou, Nie Biao from MBA School and Professor Chen Jue (Deputy Dean) also have attended the session.

 

Professor Zhao Chunjun, the former deputy director of National MBA Education Supervisory Committee, hosted the meeting. He believes that the leadership of the dean shall play an important role in the development of the school, and the capability of running school plan shall include the leadership of the dean, the teaching ability of teachers and the administrative capacity of staff, in which the leadership of the dean accounts for the main position.

 

Zhang Renshou (the president) made an address on behalf of our university and gave a warm welcome to the participants. He pointed out that Temasek project had provided windows and platforms for our university and related universities, and promoted mutual communication and enhanced our MBA faculty building, and comprehensively upgraded teaching level, at the same time, improved the leadership of the dean and capability of running schools through the school deans training session.

 

Professor Yang Bin, the executive vice-president of Graduate School of Tsinghua University and committee member and Secretary General of National MBA Education Supervisory Committee, held a special lecture named “MBA, Leadership and Chinese-style management”.

 

During the meeting, the journalists from Xinhua Net and Qianjiang Evening News had interviewed Professor Mie Biao,dean of MBA School and he told the journalists that “The training can inspire derivation thinking and it will be an important harvest if the International Business School concept is farmed into the process of running school in China and then the training and exchange ideas are integrated”.

 

China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee

 

China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee is the instruction and consulting organization of National Master of Business Administration (MBA) Education and its work shall be under the leadership and supervision of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and Ministry of Education. The purposes of the Steering Committee are: instruct and coordinate National Master of Business Administration Education activities; promote development of National Master of Business Administration Education; strengthen the relationship with business industry and exchange and cooperation between with international business; improve continually National Master of Business Administration Education Level. The secretariat of the steering committee is located in School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University.
