From October 9 and 10, The Fifth International Business School Conference for Deans and Directors in 2014 was held in Shanghai successfully. More than 260 Deans of global famous Business Schools and honored guests from 5 continents, 38 countries and regions and more than 160 institutions participated in this Conference. Deputy Dean of MBA School of Zhejiang Gongshang University participated in this Conference on behalf of our school.
The Fifth International Business School Conference for Deans and Directors in 2014 this year concentrates on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” and gathers Deans of global first-class Business Schools to communicate their understanding on innovation and entrepreneurship field, share wisdom and achievement, draw innovation concepts and seek more chances in cooperation and practices in global scope.
Setting of the Conference of two days is featured: a formal opening ceremony and the main forum of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” were held on the forenoon of October 10, on which keynote speeches are given by famous Deans at home and abroad from the Fuqua School of Business of Duke University, Johnson Graduate School of Management of Cornell University, ESADE Business School and Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, etc.. In the afternoon this day, during lectures of enterprise guests, President of No.1 Store—Yu Gang shared his experience in managing innovative enterprises, later on, sub-forums conducted deep exploration in the two big questions—“Why innovation education of Business Schools is promoting the sustainable development” and “global view—entrepreneurship education in Business Schools” to absorb education experience of global Business Schools. As the preheating part of the Conference, two seminars themed as “new standard for international certification in the new management education era” and “future of management education: emerging opportunities of Asian Business Schools” on which representatives from AACSB, EFMD, AMBA and other famous international Business Schools’ organizations and representatives responsible for Chinese senior management education certification from Chinese Ministry of Education discussed new certification standards from different angles and how globalization, technological innovation and other powerful forces gradually change the global business and management patterns, were held on the afternoon of October 9.
