On May 13-15, 2015, Global Conference for Deans and Directors of AMBA Association was convened in Prague, Czech Republic and attended by 268 representatives from 75 countries. The Dean of MBA School of Zhejiang Gongshang University – Prof. Nie Biao and the Director of International Office participated in the conference.

The conference is held by the AMBA Association, the contents of which include the future development process of MBA study and development trend of MBA program, MBA teaching management and innovation, international cooperation of MBA program, AMBA accreditation process, and communication among business schools. The conference also discusses the development and the future development trend of AMBA accredited business schools around the world, and issues certification to 7 business schools obtained AMBA accreditation in 2014.

During the meeting, the representatives of MBA School of Zhejiang Gongshang University participating in the conference deeply communicate with various international business schools and actively seek for cooperation opportunity. Dean Nie Biao makes a brief introduction on development strategy of the college, development status of MBA progaram, teaching staff development, academic research, preparation of international accreditation and other situations to the AMBA Association. Experts of AMBA accreditation also give detailed guidance and suggestions about how Business School of Zhejiang Gongshang University proceed AMBA accreditation process.

AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA are three international accreditation systems of global business school, i.e. “The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International”, “European Quality Improvement System” and “The Association of MBAs” (AMBA), if the above accreditation are obtained, it is commonly considered as the important milestone for a business school to move towards the international first-class business school. AMBA is the independent association specially engaging in MBA, MBM, EMBA quality accreditation, and the obtainment of AMBA accreditation is the pass for schools to step on the stage of international business education and become the international famous business school. MBA School of Zhejiang Gongshang University officially started AMBA certification in Dec. 2014.
