To promote further cooperation of Joint MPM Program of our University with Université du Québec, the two universities signed the cooperation agreement on the establishment of Project Management and Organizational Strategic Research Institute in December 2015 and Project Management and Organizational Innovation Research Institute of our school and Laboratory of Multidisciplinary Studies in Project Management of UQAC established an international research cooperation platform. The key areas of this Platform are Research on benefit related parties, comprehensive analysis of project impact and project team construction and organizational innovation, etc. in project management

As the first representatives of our researcher, Associate Professor Qu Liang, post-doctor of Applied Econometrics, core teachers of MBA curriculum was invited to Université du Québec à Chicoutimi for research cooperation activities on February 2-4, 2016, whose trip this time includes three key elements:

(1) Deliver a special lecture for postgraduate students majored in Enterprise Management from all over the world at 8:00-11:00 on February 2.

 “The empirical research on independent director’s role orientation to the impact of working performance: an analysis based on Chinese enterprise survey data”, whose content was a part of postgraduate course 'Business and globalization'; the lecture was mainly focused on “why is it hard for the independent director system in corporate governance to take effect in China?” and the management dilemma in Chinese context was illustrated; after the lecture, he had enthusiastic interaction with postgraduate students and got positive feedback and recognition. 

(2) Deliver a special topic discussion named as “Knowledge Network, Relational Network and Career Success ” with professors of Department of Business Administration at 11:00-12:00 on February 3; this research was mainly based on the problem with theoretical and practical significance of “How to promote students’ market competency with teaching process design established by different social networks” in cultivation process of MPM Cooperation Project between Zhejiang Gongshang University and Canadian Université du Québec for 10 years. Professors present at the conference made positive feedback towards the Problem and were willing to carry out this research in Canada simultaneously and to make cooperative research as an important cooperative topic.

(3) Exchange on academic cooperation with research team of Project Management Laboratory at 9 :30-11:30 on February 4. Research results and research team members in fields of strategic management, corporate governance, organizational behavior, innovation and information management, etc. in field of business administration of Zhejiang Gongshang University were first introduced, and research results and research contents in field of project management, human resources management, social networking were also introduced by the Canadian side. Both parties made substantive communication in aspects of social network research, joint establishment of research center and subsequential joint funding of research project, etc. and reached consensus, and Canadian side wanted to display and issue of jointly formed research results in International Symposium on Global Project Management held by Université du Québec in 2018.

Dr. Qu Liang’s trip this time further promoted cooperation of both sides on cooperative education in research field, opened research cooperation on project management and organizational strategy of the two universities and was one of important events in process of internationalization of MBA school.
