Dear MBA students:

The School will set up the optional course-all-English Comprehensive Case Study [Comprehensive Case Study (Foreign Language)] for all MBA students in the first semester of 2015/2016 academic year. Now related matters on the optional course are notified as follows:

I. Introduction to professor responsible for the course

Doctor Julian Lowe now is the Professor of Strategic Management of Canterbury Christ Church University and was the professor of University of the West of England, Newcastle University, University of Bristol, University of Wollongong (Australia), University of Bath and such universities, and he is also MBA International Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During his teaching, Professor Julian Lowe has been paying high attention to the combination between the theory and practice. Up to now, he has published more than 10 books, more than 100 papers to international leading journals and guided 18 doctoral students. What’s more, Professor Julian Lowe has his own business and SPT technology company in Australia and holds the post of enterprise consultant in many international enterprises.

II. Teaching hours and teaching location

Teaching hours: this course is divided into 6 lessons, with 2 credits in total and intensive teaching mode (from December 15, 2015 to December 22, 2016; the course is arranged at 6:30-9:30pm).

Teaching location: Classroom 529, Administrative Building 1, Jiaogong Road Campus, Zhejiang Gongshang University

III. Operation procedure and time of course selection

1.    Operation procedure of course selection: the selection of this course will not conflict with other MBA courses. Log in the website of MBA School http:// mbaxy.zjgsu.edu.cn (the account number is the student number and the initial password is an 8-digital date of birth) →register (click Student Semester Enrollment) →select course (click Student Online Course Selection) →Recheck the course selection result (click the Course Selection Inquiry). Special notice: please do not change other selected optional courses of this semester.

2.    Course selection time: from September 21, 2015 to September 30, 2015. The first-select first-get mode is adopted for the course selection; the space will be limited to the first 30 students. For any problem in the course selection, please immediately coordinate with MBA School for solution.

Ⅳ Course material

MBA School will share the electronic course material on the School website one month before the class beginning and give students printed teaching materials when the first class begins.

Note 1: Students who pass the examination of the optional course- Comprehensive Case Study [Comprehensive Case Study (Foreign Language)] can be exempted from an optional course.

Note 2: Students who pass the examination of the optional course- Comprehensive Case Study [Comprehensive Case Study (Foreign Language)] can be exempted from Business English, but not be exempted from examination.

Note 3: make-examination is not available for the optional course- Comprehensive Case Study [Comprehensive Case Study (Foreign Language)], and thus students failing the examination need to select this optional course again.
