At 10:30 in the morning on October 14, 2016, the seminar of “development design of comprehensive case and teaching” was held in Teaching Development Department of MBA School. This seminar was hosted by Chen Jue, Vice President of MBA School and Professor Rejean Lefebvre, a famous expert of case research and teaching from University of Quebec in Canada gave a lecture at the seminar. Cheng Zhaoqian, Director of Management Case Center and other 20 core teachers also attended this seminar.

At the seminar, Professor Rejean Lefebvre shared his experience in development, design and teaching of comprehensive case with everybody. He mentioned that the purpose to simulate project management is to develop students’ all kinds of abilities (knowledge, skill and attitude) so as to improve their performance in dealing problems and making decisions in real world. Besides, he introduced methods of setting discussion courses for comprehensive case and methods of assessment.

In subsequent communication steps, all teachers present at the seminar expressed their opinions and interacted with Professor Rejean Lefebvre. The professor answered questions of all teachers and invited them to ask more questions. Those teachers present at the seminar said that, as one kind of learning activity, simulation had been proved to be one reliable and successful method in thousands of industries in the world.

In the end, Chen Jue, Vice President, said at the seminar that, MBA School would spare no efforts to support development and design of comprehensive case and teaching exchange as usual and encourage more teachers and students to participate in teaching activity. This seminar was not only the witness of Sino-Canada research and teaching exchange as well as the case teaching which has promoted MBA School.
