The MBA School has organized a professional faculty team with an appropriate range of titles, ages, and backgrounds whilst following strict procedures and standards regarding faculty recruitment.

Three types of faculty undertaking MBA training tasks are full-time faculty, part-time faculty and thesis supervisors. The full-time faculty are responsible for the teaching of core MBA courses. The part-time faculty (including part-time faculty from both inside and outside ZJSU, visiting professors and practitioners from enterprises) are responsible for assigned teaching tasks. The main job of practitioners is to guide the students towards participating in relevant management practices and to give lectures which integrate theory with practice. Thesis supervisors are responsible for instructing students in relation to degree theses. At present, the MBA programme has 65 full-time faculty, 50 part-time faculty and 147 thesis supervisors, whose education backgrounds and titles are shown in Tables 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5. Detailed information regarding all faculty members can be seen in Appendix 3-1 and 3-2.

Majors and research fields regarding the whole faculty team cover all MBA courses. Age and professional title structure are appropriate to the organization's goals, as are education backgrounds and industrial experience. The detailed features are as follows:

 (1) Over 90% of the faculty possess doctorate degrees with associate professors or above. This ensures the teaching quality.

 (2) Over 79.13% of our faculty are from ZJSU and in charge of the core courses. The faculty from outside ZJSU is employed mainly to teach electives requiring practice and operation experience.

 (3) Over 90% of our faculty of core courses either act as corporate consultants or have been involved in enterprise consultancy projects, ensuring teaching quality in linking theory with practice.

 (4) Most of our full-time faculty have experienced overseas exchange, or have returned after overseas study. The number of our faculty with overseas exchange experience is 48, accounting for 73.85%, and those studying overseas for over 10 months accounts for 40% of the total.
